Dreamers at Armadale farm is situated two kilometres from Kirkwood. In 1887 a medical practioner, Dr William Macdonald bought a piece of land and he named it Armadale after the seat of the Macdonalds on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. In 1898 he build the present double storey house on the property.
